Description

I used to make sausage rolls with a Sanitarium product made specifically for the purpose. Anyway they cleverly put eggs in it because they thought there weren't enough chickens in the world living lives of complete misery, so I couldn't eat it any more. Well compliments of another Sanitarium product Redi-burger, I now have a recipe thats about ten times better than the old one.

Ingredients

1 cn
Rediburger (It's a Sanitarium product, you could try some other sort of vegie burger mix)
1 cn
Mixed Beans (I use one with 5 sorts)
1 1⁄2 c
Cabbage (Chopped)

Onion (Chopped reasonably well)
1⁄3 c
Peas
1⁄4 c
Corn
1⁄2
Capsicum (Red, chopped reasonably well)
1 T
Olive oil
1 clv
Garlic (chopped finely)
1
Carrot (Medium. Coarsely grated)
3 T
Tomato paste
2 t
Mixed herbs
1 pk
Puff Pastry (4 sheets should do the job)

Instructions

Heat a saucepan, and add the oil when its hot

Add the onions, capsicum, cabbage, garlic and a tablespoon or so of herbs, saute till soft

Mash beans in large bowl

Add rediburger, tomato paste and a little water to beans, mash together

Add the cabbage, onion and capsicum

Add the corn, peas and carrot

Cut Puff Pastry in halves

Spoon 1/8 of mixture onto each halve, spreading out so makes line on one side

Roll it up, adding a bit of water to the edge to make them stick

Cook for about 25 minutes on a 300, or until golden.

Serve with tomato sauce and mustard : )
